Home karaoke continues to grow in popularity as more people look for simple ways to enjoy singing with friends and family using Smart TVs, phones, tablets and streaming apps.
The D’Auris Series by Soncamedia represents a new generation of premium portable karaoke speakers, combining powerful 3-way sound, advanced digital sound processing and two wireless microphones in a distinctive, modern design.
And now there are two.
The D’Auris 300 delivers an impressive 200 watts RMS through its five-speaker 3-way configuration, while the new D’Auris 500 takes the concept considerably further with 500 watts RMS, a new three-speaker 3-way configuration and a redesigned bass-reflex system.
So while they share the same D’Auris DNA, there are some important differences between them.
D’Auris 300 or D’Auris 500?
Both models have been designed around a premium 3-way speaker system, separating bass, midrange and high frequencies for greater clarity and balance.
However, Soncamedia has taken two different approaches to achieving this.
D’Auris 300 – 200W RMS / Five Speakers
The D’Auris 300 uses five individual speaker drivers:
- 1 × 10" (25cm) bass subwoofer
- 2 × 4" midrange speakers
- 2 × 4" Neo tweeters
- 200 watts RMS [800 Watts Peak Music Power Output]
This configuration provides rich bass, detailed midrange and crisp high frequencies, with the dual midrange speakers and dual tweeters helping create an open, detailed sound particularly well suited to vocals and music.
D’Auris 500 – 500W RMS / Three Speakers
The D’Auris 500 takes a different approach with three individual speaker drivers:
- 1 × 10" (25cm) bass subwoofer
- 1 × 5.5" (14cm) midrange speaker
- 1 × tweeter
- 500 watts RMS [2000 Watts Peak Music Power Output]
Rather than simply adding more speakers, the D’Auris 500 has been engineered for significantly greater output and bass performance.
At 500 watts RMS, it provides more than twice the rated output power of the D’Auris 300 and is designed for those wanting a much bigger sound for larger rooms, parties and entertaining.
A New Bass-Reflex Design for the D’Auris 500
One of the most interesting differences between the D’Auris 300 and D’Auris 500 can actually be found at the rear of the speaker.
The D’Auris 500 introduces Soncamedia's new-generation bass-reflex port design.
The revised ports have been designed to optimise airflow from the cabinet, allowing the 10" bass driver to produce deeper and more powerful low frequencies while maintaining better control as the volume increases.
The result is bass designed to hit harder and extend deeper without introducing excessive boom or resonance.
This is an important distinction between the two D’Auris models and demonstrates that the D’Auris 500 isn't simply a higher-powered version of the 300 – the speaker system itself has been re-engineered for its substantially greater output.
DOUBLE THE DOUBLE DSP Technology
One of the standout features of the D’Auris Series is Soncamedia's DOUBLE THE DOUBLE (2×2) digital signal processing system.
Instead of using a single processor, both the D’Auris 300 and D’Auris 500 incorporate two independent DSP chips:
- One dedicated to optimising vocals and microphone effects
- One dedicated to managing and enhancing the background music
By separating these tasks, the system maintains clear vocals without overwhelming the music, producing a balanced and natural karaoke sound similar to what you would expect from a professional system.
And because all of this processing is built directly into the D’Auris, there's no need for a separate karaoke amplifier or mixer.
Anti-Feedback Technology for Smooth Singing
Feedback can be one of the most frustrating issues when using microphones. Both the D’Auris 300 and D’Auris 500 address this with FBC Frequency Shift Anti-Feedback technology, which intelligently adjusts frequencies to minimise feedback while keeping the microphone sound natural.
Combined with the built-in ENHANCER sound processing, the system improves overall clarity by boosting key frequencies so that both vocals and music sound clearer, fuller, and more detailed.
This results in a more comfortable singing experience, even at higher volume levels.
Wireless Microphones Included
Both the D’Auris 300 and D’Auris 500 come supplied with two high-quality UHF wireless microphones, allowing you to start singing straight away.
These microphones feature:
-
Lightweight aluminium construction
-
Stable wireless signal transmission
-
Clear vocal reproduction
-
Adjustable echo, reverb, and delay effects
This makes the system perfect for duets, parties, or family karaoke nights.
Expand Your Sound with MIC Wireless Stereo (MWS)
For those who want an even bigger sound experience, both the D’Auris 300 and D’Auris 500 support MIC Wireless Stereo (MWS) pairing.
This technology allows two compatible speakers to connect wirelessly, with one acting as the master unit. Once paired, the speakers automatically synchronise microphone and music effects across both units to create a true stereo listening experience.
The result is a wider soundstage and more immersive karaoke performance.
Easy Karaoke with Your Smart TV
One of the most convenient features of the D’Auris Series is its Optical Audio Input, which allows you to easily connect your Smart TV.
This makes it simple to enjoy karaoke directly from your TV using:
- YouTube Karaoke videos
- Karaoke streaming apps
- Music streaming services with lyrics
Simply connect your TV’s optical output to the speaker and use your TV screen to display the lyrics while your D’Auris provides powerful sound and microphone effects.
Flexible Connectivity Options
Both the D’Auris 300 and D’Auris 500 are designed to work with a wide range of devices and music sources.
Available connections include:
- Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless streaming
- OPTICAL IN for Smart TV karaoke
- USB MP3 Playback from USB drives
- OTG (USB-C) for livestreaming on iOS and Android devices
- Line In (3.5mm) for phones, tablets, or music players
- Line Out for connecting additional speakers
- Microphone Input for wired microphones
- Guitar Input for live music performance
This flexibility makes it easy to integrate either D’Auris model into almost any home entertainment setup.
Control Your Sound with the SONCA Mixer App
The SONCA Mixer App, available for both iOS and Android, allows you to fine-tune the system directly from your phone.
Using the app, you can adjust:
-
Microphone effects
-
Reverb and echo levels
-
Music and vocal balance
-
Sound processing settings
This makes it easy to customise the sound depending on the room size, music style, or karaoke performance.
Which D’Auris Should You Choose?
The choice really comes down to how much sound you need.
Choose the D’Auris 300 if you want a premium portable karaoke system with 200W RMS output and its distinctive five-speaker 3-way configuration. It provides plenty of performance for home karaoke, music and entertaining without stepping up to the size and output of the 500.
Choose the D’Auris 500 if you want to take the D’Auris concept considerably further.
With 500W RMS, a three-speaker 3-way configuration and its redesigned bass-reflex system, the D’Auris 500 is the model for larger rooms, bigger parties and anyone who simply wants considerably more power and bass from their D’Auris system.
The 300 isn't simply the smaller 500, and the 500 isn't simply a more powerful 300.
They are two different approaches to the same premium D’Auris concept.
